One of Michael Portillo’s Great Railway Journeys, took me down to Truro in deepest Cornwall and then a taxi to Portscatho on the southern coast for Tori and Ed’s wedding. The Rosevine Hotel is in a beautiful setting having clear views down to the sea. First thing in the morning the Ushers took a reviving swim to clear their heads from the previous nights drinks party, I suspect by the duration of time spent in the water the temperature was as cold as the air was clear.
The service took place in a sunny room and afterwards drinks and refreshments were served on the lawn. The marquee on the lawn was attractively set for the wedding reception and great care and attention had been placed on the wedding table plan and place settings, very original. Tori and Ed really enjoyed their day, which ended formally with a dramatic firework display on the beach.
