Recent Wedding in Dulwich and with a reception at RAC Club Mayfair, London.
As the wedding photographer on the day, the first port of call for me was the brides house for the shots of the preparation and family in the state of what is typically ‘organised chaos’. Luckily, it was only a short drive with a willing usher to the church and I could then have the all-important chat with the vicar about the best place to stand during the service and exchange of vows. I could also capture the guests arriving from far and wide.
Once the ‘I do’s’ were proclaimed and the registers signed, there were two red London buses waiting to take everyone from Dulwich to Pall Mall and the famous RAC Club.
Once at the Royal Automobile Club we had a number of traditional family group wedding photographs to tick off, luckily with a very elegant vintage sports car behind each group as a backdrop.
I did also have time to take the couple for a short break outside and a stroll down Pall Mall where I photographed the bride and groom through the window of a moving black cab, to try and ensure there was even more of a central London vibe with the RAC Club behind them. The shot was not easy to achieve, it took 3 or 4 passing taxis to get the timing just right, and everyone was pleased with the resulting image.
It was a great day and very clear that all the guests and family really enjoyed themselves, as did, not least of all the happy couple themselves.
