If you want a wedding venue steeped in history, then Chelsea Old Church is definitely one to consider. It has been hosting weddings since 1292, with King Henry VIII tying the knot there. From a wedding photographer's point of view, it is also very attractive, as we can take photographs of the couple exchanging vows from ground level or from the vantage point of the minstrel's gallery.
It is also fabulously located, on the corner of Old Church Street and the Embankment in London which is in easy reach of the King's Road, where there are many high quality restaurants for a reception after the wedding.
If they choose, couples can be photographed nearby on the Embankment, with the River Thames providing a lovely, romantic backdrop. In addition, Chelsea Old Church's gardens make an excellent setting for family and guest photos.
