One of the most, if not the most spectacular of London wedding venues, The Painted Hall and Admiral’s House in the the Royal Naval College in Greenwich is a photographer's dream. The building was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor, and the Painted Hall was decorated by Sir James Thornhill in 1708, resplendent with scenes depicting the triumph of Peace and Liberty over Tyranny. The Painted Hall is often described as the 'finest dining hall in Europe'.
A photographer's gift, we love this unsurpassed venue which provides the setting for some of the most amazing wedding photographs. Our favourite photographs are taken as the evening draws in and the candles are lit on the refectory tables.
Wedding receptions are often held in the colonnades which afford the lucky guests spectacular views across the Thames and other buildings in Greenwich.
